In Year 2's mathematics lessons, we have completed lots of activities to help us understand movement and turns. We made a plate to support our understanding of quarters and what this looks like in a turn. It always supported us to visualise anti-clockwise and clockwise directions.
Excitedly, we used our new knowledge of direction and turns to instruct bee-bots to move in certain directions. This helped us to understand movement terms such as 'forwards, backwards, left and right'.
When answering our questions in our work, we also had a separate grid with objects to support our skill of visualising what movement and turns looked like. This allowed us to practise!
Year 2 have worked very hard, well done!
