Our Year 4 students got to take part in an evacuee day last week!
They were encouraged to dress as an evacuee child and we even had the war siren to alert them to evacuate to The Village!
When outside they had to go around to each house to read the descriptions of the families living there and what ‘type’ of child they wanted. For example some families only wanted boys who could help with manual work, and others only wanted girls who could be put to work around the house. 🧹🧽
It was a really great exercise for the children to get involved with, and some of them even earnt extra dojo points for their costumes!
