One of the BIG projects we are doing on the farm this year is to make the gardens absolutely buzzing with Bees and Butterflies, Bursting with Fruit and Vegetables, and home to hundreds of birds and insects.
We have already started to plant the deep beds with Garlic, Peas and runner beans and will be adding carrots, potatoes, leeks and herbs when the seasons start to change.
In the greenhouse we will be planting tomatoes, lettuces, peppers, and cucumbers.
We already have pollinating insect attracting plants such as Honey Suckles, Clematis and Buddleia growing well and they will be joined by wildflowers that we are planting in the tractor tyres.
We have planted Apple, Pear and Plum trees in the farm that will provide us, and the animals with lots of lovely fruit by autumn.
We are always looking for community groups to help look after the gardens so please get in touch if you are interested.
