Yesterday we took delivery of eight very cute five week old chicks for the Year 6's to care for as part of their Egg Enterprise project.
Over the next 12 weeks they will be rearing them up to 'point of lay' which means they have developed enough to begin laying eggs. They will be then selling the eggs in school with the profits going straight back into their egg laying business to purchase more chicks to keep it growing! You never know, Sandon Farm eggs could be on the shelves at Tesco in no time!
Alan Sugar Would be proud.
