Year 6's first week back!

Updated: Mar 10, 2021

We have had a brilliant first week back so far in year 6! We have been doing some fun things and concentrating on settling back into school life. We have also been doing some work around the book 'Here we are' by Oliver Jeffers.

Have a look what we've been up to.

We have enjoyed some time on the zip wire and the field with our friends.

We played a game of 'back to school bingo' and loved getting up out of our seats and speaking to everyone in the class to complete the bingo card!

On Monday afternoon, we worked together to create a collaborative piece of art work. We each decorated a section of squares with very detailed patterns and then we put it all together to reveal a famous face!

Look what we created!

We have also been thinking about animals and their size. We estimated the size of various animals then went outside to draw these animals full scale. We were very surprised at the size of some of the animals and it was really good to see just how big some of them were! We then learnt about scale drawing and drew these animals using the scale 1cm = 1m.
