Perfect Potters!

This term Reception children are learning all about the Pottery Industry and our local heritage in Art. This week the children watched a short clip of how pottery is made and it sparked some fantastic discussion. We learnt how our cups, bowls and plates are made and looked for pottery in our school environment. We then got to explore some techniques such as patting, rolling and smoothing to create our own pinch pots! We showed control in our fine and gross motor movements and creative flair in our pinch pot styles. What a great start to our term Reception.
