Poetry bug!

Year 3 have caught the poetry bug!

This week, we have been reading, writing and performing our very own hilarious and laugh out loud limerick poems.

We worked hard to identify the important features of a limerick poem...

First we read and performed a range of limerick poetry.

Second, we practiced how many syllables should go on one line.

Then, we played some fun rhyming games to support our innovation.

And lastly, we have written our belly giggling poems in our very own book of limerick poems. Year 3 had a lot of fun and we are very proud of their hard work.
