Practising Numbers!

During our maths lessons the children's number recognition we see growing each week, they are superstars! The children practiced ordering numbers on pretend mobile phones 1 to 9, sticking numbered plasters on the dolls, we even began to learn the concept of knowing the number 1 more than a given number. We used number lines to help learn this skill. ​The children had many opportunities to practice their letter formation and improve their pencil control this week, we created an emergency control centre which the children pretended to phone the emergency services or take on the role of the controller, asking which emergency service they required. ​Ask your child what number they would dial if they needed any of the emergency services?
