Gladstone Pottery Museum

Mrs McNulty

On Thursday 2nd May 2019, Year 2 visited Gladstone Pottery Museum as part of our Proud to be a Potter topic. We had a fantastic day! The children's behaviour and manners were impeccable all day and we were so proud of them! We learnt so much and found it fascinating to find out about the history of the pottery industry in our local area and to see a working pottery factory. It was amazing to watch the staff at work creating pottery in front of our eyes.

As well as a guided tour of the museum, the children got the chance to take part in either an painting or a clay workshop, either painting a plate in the style of Clarice Cliff or creating a clay pot. Both groups did a brilliant job and created some fantastic work.

Check out some photos from our day!
