Happy hens in Reception!

This week our class story is 'A Squash and a Squeeze' by Julia Donaldson, and we found out that the hen laid an egg on the old lady's rug! So this morning we decided we would go and investigate our very own hens down on the Sandon Village, and see if they had left any surprises for us over the weekend. First we learnt about their food and how to feed them, and learnt if we stood very still like statues, they may come and eat it from our palms! Then we checked the Coop to see how many eggs we could find. What busy hens we have...they laid 6 over the weekend!
