This week in our lessons, Year 2 having been finding out about the French artist Henri Matisse. We created an artist's profile about him and his life and have looked at some of his most famous pieces of art and how his style of artwork changed over time. The children were super at discussing the pieces and discussing whether they liked or disliked them and why. We then looked at shapes and experimented with creating our own collage inspired by Henri Matisse's piece The Snail. We think they did an amazing job. Have a look at our collage creations.
