Something very exciting happened in the village today! The houses we built burnt down... Just like in the Great Fire of London.
In the morning, we created a house that would have been built in 1666 in London. We used paints and paper to decorate our houses.
Once our masterpieces dried, we took them outside and set them up as if they were a street. We set up Pudding Lane and Fish Street. Mr. Kiddle then helped us to stay safe and started a fire in Pudding Lane! We watched as the fire began to spread and this allowed us to discuss the factors that made the fire spread so fast and wildly in 1666.
