🐷🌾 Y1: All about Animals 🌾🐷

Today we had a special visitor who came from Packington Farm to help us with our topic in science; Animals!

We first learned about animals on the farm, their habitats and what they eat. We then learnt where some of the food that we eat comes from. We learnt how bread, butter and cheese is made and we learnt about the animals that produce the meat we eat.

Our farmer Jules left us with a challenge:

Make your own butter!

You will need a jam jar, an inch of double cream at the bottom, put the lid on tight and shake shake shake! You will soon get a lump of butter in the middle and buttermilk around the edge!

Send me a picture of you churning your very own butter!
