Year 5 Science: Friction

In science today we were investigating friction. Our experiment was to set up zip wires, with the help of some rubber ducks, and see which material was impacted the most by friction and which material would help the ducks to ‘zip’ along. To help start our learning off, what better way than to sample friction for ourselves on the zip wire? 😀

Ps the children may have told you that despite a fair test & our best efforts, the experiment was an epic fail 🤦🏻‍♀️
